In the Qur’an, Allah Most High says
“So establish the Prayer after the declining of the sun [from its zenith, for Dhuhr and then Asr] to the dusk of night [Maghrib and then ‘Isha] and the [Quranic]recitation of Fajr [prayer]. Indeed, the [Quranic] recitation of Fajr is witnessed.” [al-Quran 17:78]
The meaning of witnessed here means that both the angels of [previous] night and the angels of the [new] morning intently listen to the Fajr prayer being recited aloud because of its great status and virtue. [al-Suyuti, Tafsir al-Jalalayn]

Allah, Den høyeste sier i Koranen
Forrett bønnen ved solnedgang (dets senit, for dhuhr og så asr) frem til nattens frembrudd (maghrib og så isha), og (Koran) resitasjon ved fajr (bønn). Sannelig, (Koran) resitasjon ved fajr blir bevitnet. (17:78)
Her betyr bevitnet at både englene natten (før) og (ny) morgenens engler lytter oppmerksomt til at fajr-bønnen blir resitert høyt, på grunn av dets storartede status og dyd. (al-Suyuti, Tafsir al-Jalalayn)

The Qur’an was always conveyed through speech. When it was sent down, it was not sent down as a physical book that was read by the Companions. The Messenger (peace be upon him) would recite it out loud and it would be heard and would move those who heard it. It had a penetrating effect, just in its language, style, and eloquence. There are many instances from the life of the Prophet (peace be upon him) where we find examples of the Qur’an’s power over its listeners.

The Accusation
One of the most common, yet groundless, accusations being made against Islam is that it forces itself on others. The picture presented is that if someone does not stop Islam, it will forcefully convert everyone, even at gunpoint.
